With Valentine’s Day approaching fast, these brands have been prepared for the fun lovers out there. From heart shaped packaging to ketchup flavoured chocolates, the love is definitely in the air in the retailers!

Shoppers are beginning to look for new, fun ways to celebrate this day not only with their other half but with family, friends and pets it would seem! This change is caused by Gen Z and millennials who aren’t interested in over-the-top romantic trinkets. Instead they choose to celebrate Valentine’s for the fun of it.

Here’s some of the NPD we’ve spotted launching on the market in the run up to V Day:

HEINZ X FORTNUMS

This ValenHEINZ, you could be indulging in a box of nine milk, white and dark chocolate truffles filled with a blonde chocolate ganache and Heinz Tomato Ketchup. The chocolates cost £19.95 and are available in-store or online at Fortnum & Mason.

Gu have launched a campaign called “Love notes” with each different flavour packaging featuring a twist on some famous music lyrics.

PINK COSTA

Coming soon to an Instagram near you, the PINK Costa hot chocolate. This fine beverage is made from ruby cocoa beans and is part of Costa’s limited edition menu.

LOVE FROM NIMS

Nims Fruit Crisps are the UK’s only air-dried fruit and vegetable manufacturer and they are launching valentines edition of their apple crisps, these cost just £1 and will be available exclusively in Tescos across the UK.

ICY ROSES

Perhaps you’d like to switch it up and treat your loved one to a sweet bouquet. Coop have launched their rose shaped ice creams on February 1st, you get 4 in a box for £2.
